DGI PRO – Digital ATEX-godkänd tryckmätare till

sprutpistol

Viktigt

Läs och följ alla instruktioner och säkerhetsanvisningar innan du använder

utrustningen.

Beskrivning

Den digitala tryckmätaren DGI PRO är en egensäker enhet som har godkänts i

enlighet med ATEX-föreskrifterna i 94/9/EG, med skyddsnivå II 1 G EEx ia IIC T4

och är lämplig för användning i zonerna 0, 1 och 2.

Utrustningen levereras med ¼"-universalkoppling (inre, med svivelmutter) till

sprutpistolen och ¼"-universalkoppling (yttre) för lufttillförseln. Mätaren drivs av ett

batteri som ej kan bytas ut, och under normala arbetsförhållanden med enkla skift är

batteriets förväntade livslängd minst två år.

Viktigt: Den här mätaren lämpar sig för

användning med både vattenbaserade och

lösningsmedelsbaserade bestryknings-

material och rengöringsmedel. Att

utrustningen tillhör kategori 1 innebär att

den kan rengöras i en inkapslad

rengöringsmaskin för sprutpistoler. Sänk

inte ned enheten helt i ett lösnings- eller

rengöringsmedel, eftersom detta skulle

kunna medföra att inre passager blockeras

och att mätresultatens noggrannhet

påverkas.

Installation

1. Fäst luftslangen vid kopplingen

(3). Rekommenderad slang-

dimension är 8 mm hål. Slangen

måste vara ledande och

elmotståndet från sprutpistolen till

jordningen bör kontrolleras med en

ohmmeter. Ett på mindre än 10

Ω

rekommenderas.

2. Lufttillförseln bör filtreras och

regleras.

3. Fäst mätaren på sprutpistolen med

hjälp av svivelkopplingen.

4. Snabbkopplingar kan monteras på

mätarens kopplingar. Använd bara

de kopplingar som ges i listan i

tillbehörsavsnittet. Förvissa dig om

att kopplingar från andra tillverkare

är konstruerade i ledande material;

om de inte är det kan de medföra

fara och ATEX-certifieringen kan

upphöra att gälla.

1. De enda delar som kan bytas ut

är de två kopplingarna och

flödesventilen. Huset får inte

tas isär. Om du försöker att ta

isär huset kommer garantin att

bli ogiltig.

2. Stäng av lufttillförseln och lätta

på trycket i luftledningen. Om

du använder snabbkopplings-

systemet ska du koppla bort

luftledningen.

3. Ta bort luftintagskopplingen (3)

med hjälp av en 17 mm ringnyckel

eller -hylsa.

4. Stryk på ett gängtätningsmedel

som Loctite 242 eller liknande på

gängan vid återmonteringen.

Kontrollera så att den konformade

änden är vänd utåt.

5. Använd en 6 mm sexkantsnyckel

till att ta bort svivelkopplingen (2).

Stryk på gängtätningsmedel enligt

beskrivningen under punkt 4 vid

återmontering.

Underhåll

Användning

1. Vrid flödesventilen (1) medurs till

dess att den är helt åtdragen.

2. Slå på lufttillförseln då slangen är

ansluten.

3. Öppna flödesventilen (1) genom

att vrida den moturs och tryck på

pistolavtryckaren (endast luft).

Mätaren visar en avläsning i steg

om 0,05 bar. Justera flödes-

ventilen till dess att önskat

tryckvärde visas.

4. Använd ett luftintagstryck på 2 bar

till DeVilbiss GTI-kompatibla

munstycken och HVLP-luft-

munstycken. Trycket vid luft-

munstycket kommer att vara 0,7

bar (10 psi) för HVLP-luft-

munstycken.

5. Om MPV-snabbkopplingssystemet

används mellan mätaren och

sprutpistolen måste hänsyn tas till

den extra tryckförlusten över

snabbkopplingssystemet. Lägg till

0,2 bar till mätaravläsningen som

kompensation för detta.

6. Mätaren kan rengöras i en pistol-

rengöringsmaskin medan den

sitter fast på sprutpistolen.

Mätaren får dock inte lämnas i

rengöringsmaskinen under längre

perioder och inte heller sänkas

ned helt i lösnings- eller

rengöringsmedel. Detta kan

påverka mätresultatens noggrann-

het genom att de inre luft-

passagerna blockeras.

OBS!

Mätaren kan avläsas medan luftledningen är trycksatt. Vi rekommenderar att

lufttillförseln stängs av eller att mätaren kopplas bort då den inte används.

På så vis förlängs batteriets livslängd i mätaren.

SÄKERHETSVARNINGAR

Brand och explosion

Lösningsmedel och bestryk-

ningsmaterial kan vara

mycket brandfarliga och

lättantändliga när de sprutas. Läs

ALLTID

materialleverantörens

anvisningar och COSHH-bladen

innan du använder utrustningen.

Användare måste följa alla

lokala och nationella

föreskrifter samt försäkrings-

bolagens krav rörande ventilation,

brandskydd, drift och skötsel av

arbetsområdet.

Statisk elektricitet kan

alstras av vätskor och/eller

luft som passerar genom

slangarna, av sprutprocessen och

av rengöring av icke-ledande delar

med tygbitar. Mätaren och

sprutpistolen måste vara jordade för

att förhindra antändning vid statiska

urladdningar. Det är mycket viktigt

att ledande slangar används.

Missbruk

Försök inte att ta isär mätaren under

några omständigheter. Batteriet

kan inte bytas ut. Lämna tillbaka

enheten till din återförsäljare om det

uppstår ett tidigt fel.

Montering av delar som ej är äkta

originaldelar kan medföra fara.

Använd endast de reservdelar och

tillbehör som anges i den här

rapporten.

Produkten kan rengöras med hjälp

av en pistolrengöringsmaskin.

Utrustningen bör emellertid inte

lämnas inuti rengöringsmaskinen

någon längre tid, och inte heller

sänkas ner helt i lösnings- eller

rengöringsmedel.

Sätt inte mätaren under för högt

tryck, dvs. mer än det maximala

arbetstrycket. (Se specifikationerna.)

Om du gör det kan det medföra att

enheten inte fungerar och

användaren kan komma att skadas.

DGI PRO - Digital ATEX approved Spraygun Pressure

Gauge

Important

Read and follow all instructions and Safety Precautions before using this

equipment

Description

The DGI PRO Digital Pressure Gauge is an intrinsically safe device, approved to

ATEX regulations 94/9/EC, protection level; II 1 G EEx ia IIC T4, Suitable for

use in Zones 0, 1 and 2.

It is supplied with Swivel Nut Female Universal 1/4 connection to the Spraygun

and 1/4 Universal Male fitting for the air supply. The Gauge is powered by a non-

replaceable battery. It has a battery life expectancy of a minimum of 2 years

working life under normal single shift working conditions.

Important: This gauge is suitable for use

with both waterbased and solvent based

coating materials and cleaners. It‘s

Category 1 rating means in can be

cleaned in an enclosed Spraygun

washing machine. DO not totally

immerse this device in solvent or cleaner

as it may cause blockage of the internal

passageways and affect the accuracy.

Installation

1. Attach air hose to connector (3).

Recommended hose size 8 mm

bore. The hose must be

conductive and electrical bond

from the Spraygun to earth should

be checked with an ohmmeter. A

resistance of less than 10

Ω is

recommended.

2. Air supply should be filtered and

regulated.

3. Attach the Gauge to the Spraygun

with Swivel connector.

4. Quick Disconnect connectors can

be fitted to the gauge connections.

Only use those fittings which are

listed in the accessories section.

Ensure alternative manufactures

connections are made of

conductive materials, or they may

create a hazard and invalidate

ATEX certification.

1. The only replaceable parts are

the 2 connectors and the Flow

Valve. The housing must not be

dismantled. Any attempt to

dismantle the housing will

invalidate the warranty

2. Turn off air supply and relieve

pressure in the airline, or if using

QD system, disconnect from

airline.

3. To remove the Air inlet connector

(3), use a 17mm ring spanner or

socket.

4. When re-fitting, apply Loctite 242

Nutlock Thread locking adhesive

or equivalent to the thread. Make

sure the end with the cone is to

the outside.

5. To remove the Swivel Connector

(2), use a 6mm hexagon key. To

refit, apply Thread locking

adhesive as in section 4.

Maintenance

Operation

1. Turn flow valve (1) clockwise until

fully wound in.

2. With the hose connected, turn on

air supply.

3. Open the flow valve (1) by turning

anticlockwise and trigger the

Spraygun (air only). The gauge

will show a reading in 0.05 bar

increments. Adjust the flow valve

until the required pressure value

is displayed.

4. Use an inlet air pressure of 2 bar

for DeVilbiss GTI compliant and

HVLP Aircaps. The pressure at

the Aircap will be 0.7 bar (10psi)

for HVLP Aircaps.

5. If using the MPV QD system

between the gauge and the

Spraygun, allowance must be

made for the additional pressure

drop across the QD. Add 0.2 bar

to the gauge reading to

compensate.

6. The gauge can be cleaned in a

gunwash machine whilst attached

to the Spraygun. Do not leave in

for long periods or immerse the

gauge totally in solvent or

cleaners. This may affect the

accuracy of the gauge by clogging

the internal air passages.

Note:

The Gauge will show a reading whilst there is pressure in the air supply. It is

recommended to either turn off the air supply or disconnect the gauge whilst

not in use. This will increase the battery life of the gauge.

the coating material suppliers

instructions and COSHH sheets

before using this

equipment.

Users must comply with all

local and national codes of

practice and insurance company

requirements governing ventilation,

fire precautions, operation and

house-keeping of working areas

Static Electricity can be

generated by fluid and/or air

passing through hoses, by

the spraying process and by

cleaning non- conductive parts with

cloths. To prevent ignition sources

from static discharges, earth

continuity must be maintained to the

Gauge and Spraygun. It is essential

to use conductive hoses.

Misuse

Do not attempt to dismantle the

Gauge under any circumstances.

The battery is non-replaceable. In

the event of a premature failure,

return the unit to your distributor.

The fitting of non-original spares

may create hazards. Use only

spares and accessories as detailed

in this bulletin.

The product can be cleaned using a

gun washing machine. However, this

equipment should not be left inside

gun washing machines for

prolonged periods of time or

immersed totally in solvent or

cleaning material.

Do not over pressurise the gauge

beyond its maximum working

pressure (see specification). This

may result in a failure of the unit and

possible injury to the user.

If the plating is damaged and

exposes the base metal, do not use

in a hazardous (zoned) area.
